Arbor-X Future Arborist

This scholarship will be awarded to a deserving student who has met the following minimum qualifications: Full-time student, must be a U.S. citizen/permanent resident, resident of Harford County (first priority), Baltimore County, Cecil County, or Carroll County (second priority), or any resident of Maryland (third priority), have at least a 3.0 GPA, and be enrolled in the Forestry curriculum. The applicant must have a “C” or better in Dendrology I. The recipient is encouraged to visit the Arbor-X Company for one day during the Spring semester to experience the forestry profession. A paid (salary & housing) short-term summer internship may be available to the recipient for the summer following the award. The scholarship may be extended into the third semester pending approval from Arbor-X. Applicant should contact Arbor-X for extension. Continuation of scholarship into second year is possible upon reapplication and proof of having met criteria.
